About Me

A Little About Me

My name is Beverlin Hill. I am a multidisciplinary artist who has always had a passion for art. But until recently, my passion was for admiring the works of others. I had no idea that I too had a talent for making beautiful works of art.

My current work focuses on portraits and on occasion still lifes. That is because what interests me most is the human face. It is a work of art all on its own. When I am creating a portrait, the question that I ask myself is, “How can I bring that face to life”?

To me, my most important goal is to excavate the beauty that lies within people and objects. My preferred mediums for accomplishing this are oil paint, graphite, charcoal and colored pencils. I love to work with oil paint because it allows me the time to experiment with my subject both visually and texturally.
